Spotlighting : The Remains Gallery in Hood River, Oregon

I have been apart of a lovely unique gallery called, The Remains Gallery, in Hood River, Oregon for I think around 2 years now! One of the most important things when having your work in a gallery is your relationship with the owner and/or the people who run it. Cause it can get hairy and weird when there isn’t really one established! Nic Vick is the owner and a painter. Faith Hinkson is the women who runs it! They are both amazing people and bring a plethora of flavors to the table when it come to finding and making unique art.

Like many galleries and shops during Covid-19, the Remains has evolved quit a bit. They are killer at having monthly showings. Showcasing the most unique and out there, best of the best artist’s all around the Willamette Valley and beyond. Seriously, you won’t find anything else like it. The art they bring to the table ranges from macrame, out of this world sculptures, glassware, unique raku ceramic vessels, skull & moon jewelry, in your face paintings, drawings & prints, calm/collective photography & landscape paintings, rad clothing, etc. The list goes on!

They have moved from a brick and mortar location in Hood River to an online only shop, but what better way to shop these days than online. Am I right! They also, do events if you ever want them to curate an awesome art show/party. Give them a ringaling if interested! That is, hopefully when Covid gets under control we can all party!

I know I say this a ton, but you can still support small businesses online. Even if you can’t go see it in person. So take a look at the remains gallery link I have posted below. I have a unique line of work being showcased at the remains gallery online shop that is pictured below!

Take a look & Happy Saturday folks!

Thinking Of Doing A Spring Clearance SALE : Next Weekend : What Do You All Think?

I’ve got lots of Glass Pumpkins, Fiddlehead Sculptures and Sample Mountain Drop Vessels that originally were made for all of the art markets I was going be apart of this summer. Due to Covid-19 all of those events were canceled. I am going to miss interacting with all of you great folks.

So I would love to hear some feedback from all of you if you think I should do a spring clearance sale ONLINE this next weekend? Comment on my blog and let me know what you think????

Final Day : Day 7 : Isolation Residency : Reflections and Mindfulness : Using My Non-Dominant Hand

Image-1.jpg

Today I painted with my left hand instead of my dominant right hand and with no intent of what I was going to paint. I let the paint strokes, my feelings of the world and its current state fall together into this piece.

Isolation Residency : Day 5 : Visual Journal : Hens Picking My Routine For The Day

I honestly don’t really have a routine everyday right now. Which might be whats driving me crazy! But I do try to exercise everyday, work on artwork, do my shipping of sold artworks, water the plants, take care of the animals, etc. So today I thought I would let the chickens pick my routine! I thought it was funny. The last one they picked didn’t really happen today, but there have been other days where this has happened!
