Spotlighting : BindlePDX : Online Small business Shopping

Good Morning Sunday Folks!

Today I am spotlighting BINDLEpdx! They are an amazing new online shopping platform where you can find small businesses in Portland, Oregon all in one place. So you don’t have to do your shopping in person or online at millions of different places. They also have this awesome multiple pick-up location option. Where you can pick-up your orders within a certain time frame at your choice of 3 locations around Portland.

I am just getting to know the owner of BINDLEpdx. Her name is Yoonjung Lee and she is a very kind, organized and respectful owner. I have enjoyed working with her in this new relationship! She has created this amazing platform during some very hard times for everyone and these are the kinds of projects/business platforms we all need in order to better our economy. Helping to bring our local, small business brands to people who wouldn’t normally find us when big brands like Amazon are taking over and especially since Covid hit. Along with that, a lot of small businesses haven’t been able to work their normal in person markets and shows. So this is a great way to find us!

BINDLEpdx is showcasing a variety of one-of-kind art wares, decor, local yummy food products, products for your dog, jewelry, bath and body care products for everyone, leather goods, etc.

Portlanders, please take a look at this platform. It will make your holiday shopping easier and will help support all types of local, small, women-owned and BIPOC-owned businesses in the Portland area.

Spotlighting : The Remains Gallery in Hood River, Oregon

I have been apart of a lovely unique gallery called, The Remains Gallery, in Hood River, Oregon for I think around 2 years now! One of the most important things when having your work in a gallery is your relationship with the owner and/or the people who run it. Cause it can get hairy and weird when there isn’t really one established! Nic Vick is the owner and a painter. Faith Hinkson is the women who runs it! They are both amazing people and bring a plethora of flavors to the table when it come to finding and making unique art.

Like many galleries and shops during Covid-19, the Remains has evolved quit a bit. They are killer at having monthly showings. Showcasing the most unique and out there, best of the best artist’s all around the Willamette Valley and beyond. Seriously, you won’t find anything else like it. The art they bring to the table ranges from macrame, out of this world sculptures, glassware, unique raku ceramic vessels, skull & moon jewelry, in your face paintings, drawings & prints, calm/collective photography & landscape paintings, rad clothing, etc. The list goes on!

They have moved from a brick and mortar location in Hood River to an online only shop, but what better way to shop these days than online. Am I right! They also, do events if you ever want them to curate an awesome art show/party. Give them a ringaling if interested! That is, hopefully when Covid gets under control we can all party!

I know I say this a ton, but you can still support small businesses online. Even if you can’t go see it in person. So take a look at the remains gallery link I have posted below. I have a unique line of work being showcased at the remains gallery online shop that is pictured below!

Take a look & Happy Saturday folks!

Inside Tip for Holiday Shipping Times!!

I heard from a little birdie who works for a courier company that shipping times are already getting backed up for online shopping and they will continue to be backed up through the holidays. All the more reason to get your holiday shopping done early!!! The earlier the better!

Since Covid hit, online shopping has become even more and more popular, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still support your local small businesses. A lot of us small businesses have not had the chance to sell our work in markets this year due to Covid. So this year, the majority of us have adapted to online shopping websites!!!! If you are an advocate of supporting small, local, BIPOC-owned and/or female-owned businesses then take a look at these various sites I have listed below. As well as my website for handcrafted unique glassblown artwares made in Portland, Oregon!

Happy November!
